Wantagh Women to Appear on TLC Show Tuesday Night
Pam Naughton Dempsey and Gina Scarda compete for $10,000 grand prize in "Craft Wars" show hosted by Tori Spelling.

Two Wantagh moms will be putting their crafting skills to the test before a national audience when they appear on TLC’s new reality competition show “Craft Wars” Tuesday night.
Pam Naughton Dempsey and Gina Scarda were chosen from among 40,000 entrants to compete on the TLC show hosted by actress Tori Spelling of "Beverly Hills 90210" fame for a $10,000 grand prize. Both Wantagh women are retired from the law enforcement field with Dempsey having worked as a prosecutor and Scarda as a cop. Their motto on the show was "we have a glue gun and we are not afraid to use it!”
Dempsey said she and Scarda got plenty of crafting experience helping out with decorations for their children’s school activities including prom and the annual Homecoming Parade. The Wantagh residents taped the show in Los Angeles back in March and have not been able to reveal how they fared, which has been a major challenge, according to Dempsey, who described her crafting style as one that involves using lots of glitter.
