WEEKLY RECAP: Officers Cleared in Fatal Seaford Pharmacy Shooting, New HS Principal Named

Officials and residents gathered at the  Thursday night to once again  from the former Grumman site in Bethpage that's drifting toward South Shore water supplies, including Wantagh and Seaford. 

2. - Seaford district officials did not have to look far to find a new high school principal following the .

Scott Bersin, who has served as  assistant principal the last two years, has been promoted to the head job. Bersin’s appointment as high school principal was unanimously approved by the Seaford Board of Education at its Thursday night meeting.

1. - No criminal charges will be brought on the two police officers involved in a  outside of a Seaford pharmacy.

Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced Monday afternoon that Christopher Geraghty, a retired Nassau County police lieutenant, and Joseph Arbia, an off-duty New York City police officer, were cleared after an investigation revealed that the use of deadly force was warranted, given the situation.
