The event highlights artists living and working in West Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood every year.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS-INWOOD, NY — Upper Manhattan's arts community is getting ready for one of the area's biggest annual events: the 2019 Uptown Arts Stroll.
This year's arts stroll will launch with an opening ceremony at Washington Heights' United Palace Theater on Tuesday, May 28th, and will be followed by a full month of art programs, studio tours and other events that will showcase the talents of artists living and working in West Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood, organizers said. The annual event is organized by the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance.
More than 200 exhibits and events are planned for the month of June, Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance Executive Director Joanna Castro said.
