Immigration Feds Rip Man From Car In Manhattan: Video

A man was grabbed by federal officers and forced into an unmarked black van on Wednesday morning.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man was reportedly forced into an unmarked black SUV by a group that included federal immigration officers in Washington Heights on Wednesday morning around 8:15 a.m., according to local officials.

The incident happened near West 157th Street and Broadway, where Councilmember Shaun Abreu said a group — some appearing to be Homeland Security Investigations officers and others without visible law enforcement identification — detained and took a person off the street.

"This video of someone being ripped off the street in front of our neighbors is deeply disturbing," Abreu said.

"ICE and other federal agencies that are carrying out Trump’s agenda of detaining people without due process have no place in our city," Abreu said.

Abreu said his office is working to confirm details of the incident and urged residents to remain alert and check in on neighbors who may be affected.
