Changes Coming To 10th Avenue: Other Inwood Transportation News
Updates on transportation projects in Inwood were recently given to Community Board 12, including improved intersections on 10th Avenue.

INWOOD, NY — Improvements to 10th Avenue, reconstruction of intersections on Dyckman Street, enhancing Upper Manhattan bus service, and rehabbing the Broadway Bridge were all part of a recent update given to Community Board 12 on transportation projects going on in the neighborhood.
Earlier in October, Community Board 12's Land Use Committee received an update from various city agencies on the Inwood NYC Points of Agreement.
The Agreement is made up of a number of commitments from the city to the neighborhood as part of the Inwood rezoning plan. There is more than $200 million in funding for the various neighborhood projects involved.

Improve Intersections Along 10th Avenue
- "Overview: Improve priority intersections along 10th Avenue to provide better pedestrian crossings, simplify complex intersections, and calm traffic, where feasible.
- Status: City Hall allocated funding for complementary greenway projects. DOT amending scopes, design on 10th Avenue (combined with greenway scope) will begin in Fall 2022."
Harlem River Drive Gateway
- "Overview: Reconstruct intersection of Dyckman Street, 10th Avenue, and Harlem River Drive.
- Status: City Hall allocating funding for complementary greenway projects. DOT amending scopes, design on 10th Avenue (combined with greenway scope) will begin in Fall 2022."
Broadway Bridge Rehabilitation (Connects Inwood to Marble Hill)
- "Overview: Complete capital plans for major rehabilitation work, including repairing deteriorated steel members, replacing the roadway deck, and adding a solid-surface bike lane.
- Status: Construction continues, and DOT forecasts completion in fall of 2027."
Improve Bus Service along the 207th Street Corridor
- "Overview: Examine potential enhancements to bus service along 207th Street.
- Status: Project completed May 28, 2021. The BX12 SBS route from Inwood to Pelham now has Transit Signal Prioritization."
