Fire Breaks Out In Washington Heights Bar, Injures 3: FDNY
The two-alarm fire spread to the building next door, but was under control in about 30 minutes.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze Tuesday morning at a Washington Heights bar, an FDNY spokesman said.
The fire broke out shortly after 5 a.m. in the Marcha Cocina Bar at 4055 Broadway, located between West 170th and 171st streets, an FDNY spokesman said. The response was upgraded to a second alarm — which means 25 fire units and more than 106 firefighters on scene — at 5:10 when flames spread to the building next door, the spokesman said.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by 5:32 an FDNY spokesman said. Three people suffered minor injuries during the fire and one was treated at a local hospital, the spokesman said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and has not been determined.
