Inwood Fire Likely Destroys 7 Businesses, Injures 6 Firefighters
Firefighters battled the blaze for over two hours on Sunday.

INWOOD, NY — A fire that broke out in Inwood Sunday morning injured six firefighters and likely full destroyed seven businesses, fire officials said.
The fire at 150 Nagle Avenue was reported at 10:03 a.m. and firefighters were on the scene within three minutes. When firefighters arrived on scene, they reported seeing a heavy fire, FDNY officials said.
Seven businesses were involved in the fire and are "probably" full destroyed, a fire chief told reporters. The fire traveled fast and was brought under control at 12:42 p.m. Some 170 firefighters responded to the fire.

The businesses were all closed at the time of the fire. The exact location where the fire started remains under investigation.
The injured firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
