INWOOD, NY — Members of the Dyckman Run Club knew the late police officer Jason Rivera as "Tata."

Rivera would come routinely to the uptown running club, frequently being quoted as saying, "there's only one way, the Dyckman Run Club way."

"Jason Rivera first came to Dyckman Run Club on a mission to bridge the community and improve its relationship with the NYPD," the uptown running club wrote on social media. "He served as a beacon of hope — no matter what negativity surrounded our community, there would always be reason for the greater good to prevail and to strive to spark change — Tata eternally instilled that hope within us."
