Man Arrested For 2016 Inwood Nightclub Murder, Police Say

INWOOD, NY — A Pennsylvania man is facing charges for a 2016 murder that occurred during a fight in an Inwood nightclub, police said.

Merlin Dilone, 34, was arrested Monday and charged with murder, police said. Dilone is accused of fatally stabbing Eddy Guzman on March 9, 2016 during a large fight at Inwood nightclub Opus Lounge, police said.

Officers responded to the nightclub on West 202nd Street between Ninth and 10th avenues around 4:20 a.m. on March 6, 2016 after a dispute broke out at the club, police said. Upon arrival, officers noticed Guzman suffering a stab wound to the chest, police said. The Bronx resident was take to the Allen Hospital in Inwood and died from his injuries on March 17, 2016.
