Man Shot During Inwood Dispute, Police Say

INWOOD, NY — The NYPD is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night in Inwood following a dispute between two men, a department spokesman said.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the back at 7:45 p.m. in front of 30 Post Ave., an apartment building located between Dyckman and Academy streets, an NYPD spokesman said. The NYPD have identified a 24-year-old man who fled the scene of the shooting as a suspect, but police said the man is still at large.

EMS rushed the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, police said. The man is expected to survive his injuries, an NYPD spokesman said.
