Man Shot During Washington Heights Corner Dispute, Police Say
The victim is expected to survive the shooting and did not cooperate with a police investigation.

WASHINGTON HTS, NY — A man was shot on a Washington Heights street corner late Monday night during a dispute, an NYPD spokesman said.
The shooting occurred on the corner of Wadsworth Avenue and West 190th Street around 11:38 p.m., police said. A 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center by private means, police said.
The victim is in stable condition and is refusing to cooperate in an NYPD investigation of the shooting, a department spokesman said.

Police do not have any information about a suspected gunman, an NYPD spokesman said.
The shooting was the second in one day for the Washington Heights neighborhood. Two men were shot early Monday morning in front of an apartment building on Haven Avenue between West 172nd and 173rd streets.

There have been 16 shootings in Uptown Manhattan so far this year, according to crime statistics from the two NYPD precincts that patrol the area. The five shootings in the NYPD's 33rd Precinct have injured seven people and the 11 shootings in the 34th precinct have injured 12 people, according to crime statistics collected through Nov. 25.
