Man Shot And Killed Outside Popular Inwood Nightclub: Police

Two men were shot outside the Opus Lounge in Inwood on Monday morning, NYPD said. One was killed. Here's what the police know so far.

INWOOD, NY — Two men were shot early Monday morning outside a popular Inwood nightclub, said the New York Police Department.

Bullets flew around 4:15 a.m. in front of the Opus Lounge at 3775 10th Avenue, police said.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the chest, and a 42-year-old man was shot in the right forearm. Both men were rushed to the hospital, where the younger man was pronounced dead, police said.

The 42-year-old is in stable condition, police said.

The gunmen fled in a white car, ABC 7 reports.

There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The shooting Monday morning is not the first time in recent months that the Opus Lounge has been mentioned in a description of a crime.

On June 21, Milton Grant, a 34-year-old father of two, was shot in the head, killed, and robbed of his jewelry after leaving Opus Lounge.
