The Chili Bowl lists its complete set of goals as the following:
- Raise money and awareness for the food pantry and other community causes
- Bring the community together.
- Bring seniors/elderly to the function (address isolation and dignity factor).
There will be four sets of winners named in the 2021 NYC Chili Bowl: People's Choice, Best Vegetarian/Vegan, Judge's Choice, and Best Team Spirit.
If you're feeling up to the task, you can enter a chili by emailing trbosco@gmail.com or calling 917-671-7600. You'll just have to arrive a little earlier and bring your own chili pot and ladle.
The folks of the Church of the Good Shepard provide a table, tablecloth, a pot stand, heating elements, serving bowls and utensils for all participants.
