Pair Of Washington Heights Buildings Sell For $15.5 Million

The sale of the uptown buildings was the largest in New York City last week, according to the real estate publication The Real Deal.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A pair of Washington Heights buildings that sold for more than $15 million was the most expensive real estate deal in the city last week, according to the Real Deal.

Property records show that 82 and 84 Wadsworth Ave., near West 177th Street, sold for a combined $15.5 million.

Shimon Keller sold the buildings to an unspecified LLC company based out of Great Neck, Long Island, according to the property records. Records also show that the buildings were last sold in 2017 for $11.6 million.

The two five-story buildings have a combined 46-units, a listing shows. Both properties were constructed in 1911.

To give a sense of what the price tag on a unit has historically been, the average rental price of the last 60 units in 82 Wadsworth Ave. was $2,181, according to StreetEasy.

The average rental price in 84 Wadsworth Ave? $2,337.

The buildings are also around the corner from Council Member Carmen De La Rosa's offices.

It is unclear what the new buyer plans to do with the two Washington Heights buildings.
