Woman Hit And Killed By 1 Train In Washington Heights: Police
A woman was struck and killed early Tuesday morning by a train at the 191st Street 1 train station around 1:50 a.m., police said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY – A person was hit and killed early Tuesday morning by a 1 train in Washington Heights, police told Patch.
The MTA's Twitter account sent out multiple updates starting at 1:52 a.m. about the 1 line being delayed in both directions after a person was struck by a train at 191st Street.

A police spokesperson told Patch that a woman was hit by a train at the Upper Manhattan station around 1:50 a.m. — and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another person was also taken to a local hospital, but it is unclear at this time how they were involved or the extent of their injuries, reported PIX 11.
Police told Patch that there is no criminality suspected at this time.

MTA alerts show that 1 trains did not start resuming normal service until after 5 a.m.
