The Hudson is located in the former home of the also well-liked eatery La Marina.

The Hudson is best known for its seafood, sushi and slow-smoked barbeque options. It also has an expansive cocktail list, which goes as far as to call its own pina colada the "best in the city."

In September, the restaurant announced that it would begin to close on Tuesday due to issues with getting enough staff.

"The Hudson will be closed on Tuesdays starting today," Jim Goldman, the manager of The Hudson, wrote at the time in a message shared across Upper Manhattan Facebook groups. "We apologize for the inconvenience. Staffing shortages have obliged us to take this action."
