Truck Crash Causes Major Delays, Damage On GW Bridge: Report
A crash that occurred early Monday morning is still causing delays on the George Washington Bridge near Upper Manhattan, reports ABC7.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A tractor-trailer crash on the George Washington Bridge around 5 a.m. Monday led to significant delays during the first rush hour of the new work week, ABC7 reported.
Partial delays are still going on as of 9 a.m., according to ABC7.
The crash temporarily closed three of four lanes on the bridge, according to a Twitter account that gives updates on New Jersey area roadways.

A fuel tank spilled on the roadway and emergency responders had to get sand to absorb it, ABC7 reported. A crew was also brought in to repair a divider, ABC7 wrote.
Delays stretched to the 89/95 interchange and there is no report of any injuries, according to AB7.

It is not clear was caused the truck crash Monday morning.
The George Washington Bridge celebrated its 90th birthday on Sunday.
The bridge that links Washington Heights to New Jersey was formally dedicated on Oct. 24, 1932, by New Jersey Gov. Morgan Larson and not yet president — New York Gov. Franklin D. Roosevelt.
