Two Men Pull Off Robbery Spree In Wash Heights, Inwood And The Bronx

The unidentified duo are responsible for 8 robberies in March and April, police said.

NEW YORK, NY — Police are searching for two men responsible for a series of robberies in Washington Heights, Inwood and the Bronx.

A total of eight robberies occurred during a span of a week in March as well as a day in April, police said.

The first incident happened on March 15 at about 5 p.m. in the vicinity of Edgecombe Avenue and West 167 Street, police said.

A 35-year-old man was approached by two men, with one gesturing he had a gun and then said “Give me your key and bike,” police said.

The men took the victim’s e-bike and fled the location, police said.

Two days later, the same two individuals robbed a 23-year-old man in the vicinity of University Avenue and West 170 Street, police said.

The duo approached the man, and proceeded to punch him in the face. They then said, “Give me all you have, we have a gun,” police said.

The two men took the victim’s e-bike, $30 and AirPods. They fled towards University Avenue, police said.

The next day on March 18, the two men targeted a 50-year-old man in the vicinity of 2301 Amsterdam Avenue, police said.

The two men pointed a gun at the man and took $1,300 and fled on an e-bike, police said.

The next three incidents, occurring from March 20 to 22 in Washington Heights, saw the two men steal three e-bikes -- in one case they told a victim "Give me your bike, or I will shoot you," police said.

The final incident happened on April 6, where a 17-year-old teenager was robbed in the vicinity of Edgecombe Avenue and West 165 Street, police said.

One of the wanted individuals took the victim's jacket before fleeing the location, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos of one of the wanted individuals. He is described as having a dark complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored ski mask, bright-colored sweatshirt, black pants, with black sneakers, police said.
