Uptown Participatory Budgeting 2018: What's On The Ballot
Help decide which Uptown projects the city council funds this year. Voting takes place in April, so learn what's on the ballot now.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS-INWOOD, NY ā Want the chance to help spend at least $1 million to fund public improvements in your neighborhood? You're in luck, because it's almost time to vote in this year's New York City Council participatory budgeting cycle.
Starting April 7, residents of City Council District 10 ā which spans Washington Heights and Inwood ā will be allowed to vote on which improvement projects the government should fund. That's right: the tax money is in your hands now.
This year Council District 10 residents can vote on 11 different projects which address community needs such as housing and school improvements, park upgrades, public safety and senior services.

Heres a full list of projects:
- District Libraries Technology Upgrades: Cost $200,000
- P.S. 173 Auditorium Technology Upgrade: Cost $150,000
- P.S. 48 Playground Renovation: Cost $500,000
- George Washington High School Weight Training: Cost $80,000
- Sound System for WHEELS Auditorium: Cost $150,000
- Dyckman Houses Building #4 Playground Renovation: Cost $500,000
- Dyckman Houses Building #3 Park Renovation: Cost $500,000
- Dyckman Houses New Park Game Tables: Cost $350,000
- Dyckman Houses Community Center Outside Drainage: Cost $500,000
- Dyckman Houses Community Center ADA Ramp: Cost $850,000
- Northern Basketball Court Wallenberg Playground: Cost $535,000
