Uptown Woman Reported Missing, Police Say
The 49-year-old woman was last seen leaving her apartment Sunday.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is asking the public to help locate a woman who was reported missing in Upper Manhattan, police said.
Kavah Messer, 49, was last seen leaving her apartment in the New York City Housing Authority's Polo Grounds Towers development on Sunday police said. Messer left her apartment building around 7 a.m. and was not heard from again, police said.
Police described the missing woman as standing 5-foot-4 and weighing about 170 pounds with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair. Messer was last seen wearing a black hooded winter jacket, blue jeans, a black du-rag and black sneakers, police said.
