Uptown Woman Sues Neighbor Whose Dog Killed Yorkie: Report

A Washington Heights woman claims her neighbor's husky has been linked to five dog attacks, including the killing of her Yorkie.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A Washington Heights woman is accusing a neighborhood dog of viciously attacking multiple animals since 2015 and suing the husky's owner for the January death of her precious Yorkshire terrier, according to a newly-filed lawsuit.

Amisha Mulji filed a lawsuit Friday demanding neighbor Mindy Gordon pay her $150,000 in damages and to have Gordon's husky named Mystery trained so the dog does not "pose a danger to public safety," the New York Post first reported. Mulji wrote in a January Facebook post that the husky mauled her seven-pound Yorkshire terrier CJ to death in September 2018.

"My dog CJ was killed by a dangerous dog. Please help me spread the word and get justice for him! We hope to educate & help get this dangerous dog OFF the streets for good, before it kills more #dogs or hurts more people!" Mulji's post reads.

The woman's lawsuit claims Mystery killed a Shih Tzu in 2015 and another dog in 2018, the Post reported. The husky also injured two other small dogs in 2015, according to the lawsuit.

Mystery's owner says the lawsuit, and Mulji's story, are bunk. She told the Post that her husky is a "well-behaved," dog and said that that CJ the Yorkie was a "yapping menace" and Mulji wasn't paying attention when the dog attack occurred.
