Wash Heights Deli 1 Of 2 In NYC Offering Special Eric Adams Wrap

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A deli in Washington Heights is one of two in New York City receiving attention for officially offering mayor-elect Eric Adam's favorite vegan wrap.

Silver Moon Deli at 3840 Broadway, in between West 160th and 161st Streets, offers the vegan creation dubbed the Mayor's Breakfast Wrap.

The wrap is simple. It comes with "JUST Egg's" egg-substitute, spinach, red onion and avocado. The Mayor's Breakfast Wrap costs $4.99, according to the Daily News.

The wrap is provided by Plantega, which is an NYC-based food company pushing to supply NYC delis with healthier options.

Marinello Gourmet Deli in Bushwick is also offering the special vegan wrap under the same name.

Adams has been vocal about his past transition to a plant-based diet to help him reverse his Type 2 Diabetes.

While choosing to offer the mayor elect's favorite wrap is a good way to grab attention, Silver Moon Deli in Washington Heights also has one of the most expansive lists of classic deli options for vegans in Upper Manhattan.

The deli has its own vegan menu, which offers vegan breakfast burritos, vegan grilled cheese, vegan bacon egg and cheese, vegan chopped cheese, vegan butter bread, vegan chicken cutlet, and more.
