Rapist Hunted After Attacking Women On Washington Heights Bridge
The man attacked two women as they walked across the Washington Bridge on West 181st Street, police said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS-INWOOD, NY — A pervert attacked two women as they walked across the Washington Bridge, raping one and groping the second, police said.
In the latest attack, a 20-year-old woman was walking from the Bronx to Manhattan around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 when the man told her he had a weapon and demanded her money, police said. The man went through her bag before raping her on the bridge, police said.
The same man is wanted in connection with another assault that happened on Feb. 20, police said. That time the man targeted a 26-year-old woman walking across the bridge late at night, showed her a knife, demanded money and then groped her, police said.

The suspect has a light complexion and a pony tail and stands about 5-foot-1, police said. He was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt, baseball cap, dark pants and dark sneakers. Police released a surveillance photo and sketch of the man (seen above).
