14-Year-Old Girl Jumps To Her Death From Greenwich Village Home
The teenager had been fighting with her parents about a party before jumping, according to a report.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A 14-year-old girl jumped to her death from the 15th story of her Greenwich Village building on Wednesday evening, police said.
The teenager, who has not been named by police, locked herself in her apartment's bathroom on Wednesday before jumping out the window, an NYPD spokesman said. She landed on scaffolding outside the building and she was pronounced dead at the hospital at 7:20 p.m.
She jumped from a building near the intersection of West 16th Street and Sixth Avenue, police said.

The New York Daily News reported that the teenager had gotten into a fight with her parents about going to a party before locking herself in the bathroom.
"They're upstairs now. They're devastated," a high-ranking police source told the Daily News about the girls' parents.
