5 Women Accuse Louis C.K. Of Sexual Misconduct: NYT

Louis C.K. was accused of masturbating in front of two female comics in 2002, three others have also accused him of sexual misconduct.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Five women have come forward to describe unsettling sexual conduct by comedian and actor Louis C.K., according to a new report Thursday. A comedy duo from Chicago, Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov, told The New York Times that C.K. invited them to his hotel room in 2002 following the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, and asked them if he could take out his penis. At first they thought he was joking, but then he stripped naked and started masturbating, they told the newspaper.

A year later, Abby Schachner, a writer and illustrator, told the Times that she could hear C.K. masturbating as they spoke on the phone. Rebecca Corry also accused C.K. of asking her to masturbate in front of him in 2005. A fifth woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said C.K. repeatedly asked her to watch him masturbate when she was working for the Chris Rock show in the late 1990s. Louis C.K. was a writer and producer there.

Louis C.K. in December paid $2.5 million for a West Village apartment on the 17th floor of a building on West 12th Street.

The New York premiere of Louis C.K.'s controversial new film "I Love You, Daddy" was canceled amid swirling controversy over him and the film. The distribution company The Orchard said in a statement that the Thursday cancellation was "due to unexpected circumstances."

The film tells the story of a successful TV writer-producer who tries to stop his 17-year-old daughter's growing admiration and relationship with a 68-year-old filmmaker.

C.K. was slated to appear on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" on Friday, but that appearance was also canceled.

Allegations of questionable sexual behavior have long dogged C.K and he said this summer that he and co-writer Vernon Chatman wanted to make a movie about beloved artists who are trailed by murmurs of scandal.
