Biking Phone Bandit Wanted For West Village Spree: Police
The robber snatched 10 phones in the West Village area between July 12 and July 17, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police released a photo Thursday of a man wanted for snatching 10 phones in the West Village area.
In all 10 of the incidents, the man approached people on a bicycle and grabbed their cellphones out of their hands, before fleeing, police said.
Here are the details on the 10 robberies, which started on July 12 and went through July 17, police said.

- Incident #1: Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at approximately 9:20 p.m. at the corner of Washington Square South and West 3rd Street.
- Incident #2: Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at approximately 9:25 p.m. at the corner of Avenue of the Americas and West 8th Street.
- Incident #3: Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at approximately 10:14 p.m. in front of 44 W. 4th St.
- Incident #4: Thursday, July 14, 2022, at approximately 2:30 p.m. in front of 340 Avenue of the Americas.
- Incident #5: Thursday, July 14, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the corner of West Street and Mercer Street.
- Incident #6: Thursday, July 14, 2022, at approximately 11:58 p.m. hours at the corner of Washington Square North and Washington Square West.
- Incident #7: Saturday, July 16, 2022, at approximately 10 p.m. hours in front of 1 Washington Square South.
- Incident #8: Sunday, July 17, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m. in front of 56 W. 14 St.
- Incident #9: Sunday, July 17, 2022, at approximately 12:45 a.m. in front of 73 W. 3rd St.
- Incident #10: Sunday, July 17, 2022, at approximately 1:16 a.m. at the corner of Avenue of the Americas and Downing Street.
A third of the robberies happened in the immediate vicinity of Washington Square Park.
