Burglar Targets Mimi Restaurant In Greenwich Village, Police Say
The same man has broken into the Mimi restaurant and bar at least three times in recent weeks, according to police.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A burglar has repeatedly targeted Mimi's restaurant in Greenwich Village, breaking into the establishment after hours and stealing hundreds of dollars on multiple occasions, police said.
The burglar, who police have not yet caught, first broke into Mimi, located at 185 Sullivan St., in March, according to police. The owner of the restaurant arrived at Mimi at about 11 a.m. on March 24 and found that the front door had been forced open, the NYPD said in a statement. Investigators said the unidentified male burglar had broken in and stolen about $700 from the restaurant's register.
On April 11, a Mimi employe showed up to the restaurant at about 2 p.m. and again found that it had been broken into. The NYPD said officers determined that the same burglar had broken into the restaurant at about 3:30 a.m. that morning and stolen $300 from the register.

The burglar broke into the restaurant again, on the morning of April 14, but left without stealing anything, police said.
Officers are still searching for the unidentified Mimi burglar.
