Charter School Moving Into West Village Church: Report
Great Oaks Charter School is relocating from its Delancey Street home to a church at 240 Bleecker St., reported Real Estate Weekly.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A charter school is moving into a 40,000-square-foot church in the West Village, reported Real Estate Weekly.
Great Oaks Charter School, also known as GO-NYC, is moving from its Delancey Street location to 240 Bleecker St., according to Real Estate Weekly.
The school signed a 20-year lease within the six-story building, which was formerly home to the Archdiocese of New York's grammar school at Our Lady of Pompeii Church.

The church will operate from the adjacent building at 25 Carmine St., reported Real Estate Weekly.
GO-NYC opened in 2013 with "the mission to provide our students with a rigorous curriculum in a nurturing environment that all students need and deserve," according to its website.

The charter school partners with AmeriCorps and employs 42 full-time AmeriCorps fellows throughout the year. It also has a longer school year than public or private establishments, with its students attending school for 190 days per year and staying in class daily for 90 minutes longer.
The school serves 350 students from grades six through 12.
JLL: Commerical Real Estate oversaw the deal between the school and the church.
It is unclear when exactly the school will move into the West Village church.
