Drowning Person Rescued From Hudson River Near West Village Pier: FDNY
A pair of firefighters dove into the waters to rescue a person drowning in the river on Thursday, officials said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Firefighters saved a drowning person's life on Thursday morning in the Hudson River near the West Village, fire officials said.
At about 10:35 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a person drowning in the water near the Christopher Street Pier, according to the FDNY.
A pair of brave firefighters jumped into the water and rescued the person, officials said, who was then brought to Bellevue Hospital.
