Duo Beats Man In The West Village While Spewing Homophobic Slurs
Two men made multiple anti-gay statements before punching a man in the face in the West Village, police said on Thursday.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A pair of men attacked a man and spewed homophobic slurs in the West Village on Sunday, police said.
The two men walked up to a 27-year-old man in front of 29 7th Ave. around 3:25 a.m., and used multiple homophobic slurs before punching him in the face and body, police said.
The duo then ran off, police add.

The man suffered minor injuries, but did not require medical attention, NYPD said.
The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the attack.

Police released images on Thursday of the two men wanted for the West Village attack.

The attack and homophobic slurs come amid Pride Month and just days before the Pride March that will take place mostly within the West Village.
