Off-Duty NYPD Officer Cuffed For Drunk Driving, Fleeing Accident

The 30-year-old officer was pulled over in the West Village early Friday morning.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — An off-duty NYPD police officer was busted early Friday morning for driving drunk and leaving the scene of the accident, police said.

Samantha Medina, 30, was pulled over just after midnight in the West Village, police said.

She was caught fleeing a collision and was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident that caused injury and refusing to take a breathalyzer test, said authorities.
