WEST VILLAGE, NY — The West Village restaurant Frankies 570 has been remade into Anton's, which officially opened this week.

Anton's, developed in a partnership between Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli and veteran of the Union Square Hospitality Group Nick Anderer, opened its doors at 570 Hudson St. on the corner of West 11th Street in the West Village.

Dishes such as spaghetti anchoiade, angel hair francese, Atlantic salmon with white bean fricassee and fennel, and a roasted heritage chicken are on the menu.

The European-style restaurant also features a 500-plus wine list, and the space largely remains the same as it was under Frankies, according to Eater.

Anderer, known for opening restaurants Marta and Maialino, told Eater: "This is an idea I've been working in my head for the past four years — I thought it would be super cool to have an old-style New York restaurant that was relevant for today."

"Not to create some sort of kitschy period piece, but a restaurant for a neighborhood in modern day New York that captures the essence and vibe of some of these old New York bars and eateries," he told the food and restaurant news website.
