Louis C.K. Performs Another Surprise Set At NYC Stage

The comedian dropped in unannounced at the Comedy Cellar for the second time since he admitted to sexual misconduct.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Controversial comic Louis C.K. returned to the Comedy Cellar Sunday for another surprise performance — and some patrons were not happy about it, The New York Times reported.

The unexpected performance came just five weeks after C.K. showed up unannounced at the same West Village venue in his first appearance since he admitted to sexual misconduct against women in the comedy world.

C.K. dropped by just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday and performed 20 minutes of material. He did not address his inaaprioate behavior, including masturbating in front of several women, during his set, the newspaper reported.

Some audience members exited the venue as he performed, embracing a new Comedy Cellar policy. The club has a tradition of well-known comics dropping by unannounced to test out new material, the cellar's tickets now include a disclaimer, according to The Times.

“Swim at your own risk,” it says, with an icon of a swimming figure, The Times reported. “We never know who is going to pop in. If an unannounced appearance is not your cup of tea, you are free to leave (unobtrusively please) no questions asked, your check on the house.”
