Madonna Performs Surprise Show in NYC for Hillary Clinton
"Hillary Clinton needs to be president!" Madonna said to the quickly gathered crowd of hundreds in Washington Square Park.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — Madonna put on a surprise pop-up performance for Hillary Clinton in Washington Square Park on Monday night to a quickly gathering crowd of hundreds. It was her last-minute bid for the Democratic presidential candidate.
The superstar announced her performance on Twitter just about 15-30 minutes before she went on stage.
"Women are marginalized, let's face it," Madonna said to the crowd. "As far as I'm concerned we still live in an extremely chauvinistic, sexist, misogynist country, and that is why Hillary Clinton needs to be president!"
