Man Attacked In Greenwich Village McDonald's, Police Say

A man was punched and then hit over the head with a chair inside a Greenwich Village McDonald's, according to police.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A man was attacked last week inside a Greenwich Village McDonald's when another man hit him over the head with a chair, police said.

The 34-year-old man was inside the McDonald's restaurant located at 136 W. Third St., near Washington Square Park, on April 11 at about 1:55 p.m. when he got into an argument with another man, the NYPD said in a statement.

The attacker allegedly punched the 34-year-old and then hit him over the head with a chair.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment for his wounds, which were not life-threatening.

Police are still searching for the attacker, and released surveillance photos of him on Tuesday.
