Man Buys Goods From Village Pharmacies With Stolen Wallet, Police Say

Police are searching for a man who used a woman's wallet last month to buy $120 in merchandise from two West Village pharmacies.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A man stole a woman's wallet last month and used her credit cards to purchase $120 in merchandise from two West Village drug stores, police said.

Officers are still searching for the man, who hasn't been found since the Sept. 17 theft, the NYPD said. Police released surveillance footage of the man on Tuesday night and are asking for the public's help identifying him.

Authorities say that on Sept, 17, the 49-year-old owner of the wallet realized it was missing at about 4:50 a.m., as she was waiting for a train inside of the West 4th Street subway station. Her wallet held two credit cards along with about $145 in cash, police said.
