Man Goes On Drug-Fueled Rampage In The West Village, Police Say
The man stumbled into a Washington Square apartment building before tussling with a tenant and smashing a window, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A man went on a drug-fueled rampage at a West Village apartment building early Thursday morning, police said.
The man stumbled into 32 Washington Square just after midnight and got into an argument with a person in the lobby. Things took a violent turn when the enraged man smashed a lobby window worth $250 and flailed a sharp object at the individual he was arguing with, a police spokesman said.
He managed to flee the scene before officers responded. No injures were reported.
