Man Needed 60 Stitches After Greenwich Village Face Slashing: NYPD
Police said Monday night they are looking for a man connected to a recent slashing on Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A man needed 60 stitches to his face after getting slashed in Greenwich Village, police said Monday night.
The 37-year-old's left cheek was attacked walking near Sixth Avenue and West Third Street on June 6 about 2:20 a.m., police said.
NYPD did not give a reason for the attack.

The slasher cut the man on his left cheek then ran away northbound on Sixth Avenue, police said.
The 37-year-old was rushed to Lenox Hill Hospital where he received the stitches, police said.

NYPD released a photo Monday night of the man wanted in connection with the attack.
