Sidewalk Puncher Pummels 67-Year-Old In West Village: Police
A stranger walked up to a 67-year-old man and punched him twice in the face, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A stranger punched a man twice in the face in an unprovoked West Village attack, officials said.
The sidewalk puncher attacked the 67-year-old man on Sixth Avenue near West Eighth Street about 8:15 p.m. Friday, according to police.
The man landed two punches then fled south on Sixth Avenue, cops said.

The 67-year-old was left with some bruising and swelling to the face, police said.
Police released a photo of a man believed to be connected to the attack.
