Man Rescued From Hudson River In Mass Emergency Response: Officials

Emergency teams rushed to West and Bank streets Tuesday morning to rescue a man from the Hudson River, the NYPD said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Emergency responders flocked to the West Side Highway Tuesday morning to rescue a man from the Hudson River, police confirmed.

Harbor and Air Sea Rescue and Emergency Service Unit teams rushed to Pier 49 at West and Bank streets to rescue the man about 10:25 a.m., according to the FDNY and NYPD.

The person pulled from the was being treated by medics as of 11:35 a.m., according to the FDNY.

One witness said on Twitter she saw up to 50 emergency response vehicles on the West Side Highway.
