Man Shot At in Washington Square Park: Police

The man suffered only minor injuries when he was shot at in Greenwich Village late Wednesday night, police said.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A man in Washington Square Park late Wednesday night suffered minor injuries when he was shot at by an unknown assailant.

Police said they are looking for a suspect who pointed a gun at a 29-year-old man at 11:15 p.m. in the Greenwich Village park. The suspect fired one shot into the pavement, sending a chunk of concrete into the victim, police said. The man refused medical attention on scene.

According to police, the suspect is a white man in his mid-2os and about 5-foot-5. A photo of the suspect is below.
