Man Slashed In Face At Greenwich Village Bar: Police

The slashing happened at Wicked Willy's, a popular bar at 149 Bleecker St., a police spokesperson told Patch.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A man got slashed in the face early Friday morning after a bar fight broke out in a Greenwich Village watering hole, a police spokesperson told Patch.

Two men began fighting inside Wicked Willy's at 149 Bleecker St. around 2:40 a.m., when one of them slashed the other with an unknown object, police said.

The slasher then ran out of the bar and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The injured man was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Wicked Willy's is a pirate-themed bar popular with NYU and other Lower Manhattan college students.
