Man Steals iPad, Alcohol From West Village Restaurant, Police Say

GREENWICH VILLAGE,NY — Police are searching for a man who stole an iPad and four bottles of alcohol from a Greenwich Village restaurant in September, they said.

Police released surveillance footage on Wednesday night of the man suspected in the theft. They say that the man, who had a scruffy beard and was wearing sunglasses, entered the Kiin Thai restaurant at 36 E. 8 St. on Sept. 25 at about 4:40 a.m. Police say it's unclear how he got into the restaurant.

The man took an iPad, a bottle of wine and three bottles of vodka before running from the restaurant.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating him.
