Man Steals Thousands In Repeated West Village Rite Aid Robberies: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who snatched items from a Ride Aid at 543 Hudson St. on three different occasions.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police are looking for a man who has robbed the same West Village Rite Aid on three different occasions for thousands of dollars worth of goods.

The three robberies happened in July and August at the drugstore at 534 Hudson St., between West Tenth and Charles streets.

Robbery 1: About 9:35 p.m. on July 11, a man entered the West Village Rite Aid and took more than $1,300 in merchandise without paying for it, police said. The robber then ran off in an unknown direction.

Robbery 2: About 1:15 p.m. on July 18, a man entered the West Village Rite Aid and took more than $100 in merchandise without paying for it, police said. The robber then ran off in an unknown direction.

Robbery 3: About 10:43 p.m. on August 10, a man entered the West Village Rite Aid and took more than $1,000 in store goods without paying, police said. The robber then ran off in an unknown direction.

The West Village Rite Aid robberies come after a report from earlier in 2022 from the New York Post that a location in Hell's Kitchen was losing $200,000 a month from shoplifting.

Police released a photo over the weekend of the man wanted in connection to the West Village robberies.
