Manhole Explosion At Bleecker Street And Broadway: FDNY
A manhole exploded in Greenwich Village during Monday's evening commute.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — An underground fire caused a Greenwich Village manhole to erupt with smoke and flames during Monday evening's commute, FDNY said.
Firefighters rushed to the scene at about 5:48 p.m. and are awaiting Con Edison crews. The investigating is ongoing.
