Men Rob Manhattan Pinkberry At Gunpoint, Police Say

Two men robbed a Pinkberry in the West Village at gunpoint this week, according to police.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Two men robbed a Pinkberry at gunpoint and beat up the yogurt shop's employees before taking off with $1,600 in cash on Wednesday night, police said.

Both robbers are still on the loose and police are searching for them.

Police say the men went into the Pinkberry, located at 523 Sixth Ave., at about 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday. The men displayed a gun and told the two employees, a 21-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, to go to the back of the store, according to the NYPD. The robbers assaulted both men and then forced them to open the shop's safe, authorities said. The two men took $1,600 in cash and the employees' personal belongings before running from the store, according to the NYPD.

The employees were both treated for bruises and cuts at the hospital.

Police are still searching for both men as of Friday.
