Morning Blaze Sends 60 Firefighters To West Village Brownstone
A fire ignited around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday at 64 Greenwich Avenue, according to the FDNY. It was put under control by 9:42 a.m.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — A fire broke out Wednesday morning in the West Village within a brownstone at 64 Greenwich Avenue, according to the FDNY.
The flames began around 8:45 a.m., resulting in 60 firefighters getting called to the scene, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The fire was put under control by 9:42 a.m, said the FDNY. There were no reported injuries.

FDNY did not specify to Patch how the blaze started.
According to StreetEasy, the 64 Greenwich Avenue brownstone has three stories and was built in 1910.
