GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — While it was more than a decade ago, Campus Grotto, a college news site, ranked the cost of the room and board at The New School's Eugene Lang dorm at 118 West 13th Street in Greenwich Village as the most expensive college dorm in the United States.

Campus Grotto calculated that a typical freshman at The New School in Lower Manhattan could expect to pay $15,990 annually for a single room within the Eugene Lang building, with a mandatory meal plan adding another $3,200.

Hence dubbing it the most expensive college dorm in the country.
