New West Village Pizza Spot Ranked One Of NYC's Best New Restaurants
Emmett's on Grove snagged a spot on Time Out New York's list of the 15 best newly opened restaurants in the city.
WEST VILLAGE, NY— A newly opened pizzeria in the West Village is one of the best new restaurants in all of New York City, according to a list by Time Out.
The 15-restaurant ranking, published the first week of June, includes Emmett's on Grove at number 10. The eatery opened this spring at 39 Grove St.
"The original Emmett’s is NYC’s top destination for deep-dish pizza, and this second spot takes on the other Chicago specialty: Tavern style," Time Out wrote about the West Village spot. "The aesthetic, thin-crust and square slices are unmistakably reminiscent of the Windy City, and classic toppings like sausage and oregano are among a variety of toppings."
