Pizza Giant L’Industrie To Open West Village Location On Wednesday
The Brooklyn-based slice shop has been called one of the best in the city since opening in 2017.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — An acclaimed outer-borough pizza shop, L’industrie, is set to open their doors this week in the West Village.
According to their Instagram, their West Village slice shop will be welcoming customers on Wedneday.
First announced in February, the new spot at 104 Christopher St., between Bleecker and Bedford streets, is the heralded slice shop's first step towards expanding its pie domination beyond their Williamsburg location.

L’industrie has become known as one of the best pizza spots in New York City, earning high praise since opening in 2017.
Owners Massimo Laveglia and Nick Baglivo were credited with bring an approach to their pies that's "equal parts art and science," according to a 2021 write up from the New York Times.

"The bottom of a L’industrie pie — wafer thin but still somehow pliable — is a miracle of engineering," the Times wrote, as part of their "25 Essential Dishes to Eat in New York City" list.
Countless others have heaped praise on L’industrie, especially for their famously not-soggy burrata slice, with the shop consistently landing near the top of every list of the best slices in New York City.
When the new shop was announced earlier in the year, Laveglia, a native of Florence, Italy, told Eater that two new co-owners would be involved with the West Village outpost: Alex and Adam Saper, who are also partners in Eataly.
